Eiffel Tower Manicure Gradient Tutorial

I used a sponge gradient to get the base for this manicure and then stamped the Eiffel Tower and Paris images from the Cheeky Jumbo Plate 3: European Romance.

Dripping Icicles Nail Stamping Tutorial

When I saw the dripping icicles image on the Creative Shop plates I knew I HAD to use it in a mani.





I started off with Femme Fatale Crystal Droplets, a Beautometry.com store exclusive polish on all nails. I then sponged on Powder Perfect Lagoon to the tips of my nails after applying Moyra Liquid Tape. The Moyra Liquid Tape helps for easier cleanup on the cuticles when sponging nail art or stamping. I finished over the gradient using Powder Perfect Lightning Lady as a top coat

Then, I stamping with the Creative Shop stamper and Hit the Bottle As Black As Night stamping polish the dripping icicles image from Creative Shop plate 37. After removing the Moyra Liquid Nail Tape, I topped everything off again with the Powder Perfect Lightning Lady top coat.

Epiphany Gradient Manicure Featuring A England and Messy Mansion MM01 Stamping Plate

I've always wanted to do one of these manicures with the gradient twilight look in the background. What better time than the Epiphany (The Feast of the Three Kings).

Challenge Your Nail Art October Challenge, Day 3: Gradient

For today's challenge, I used an older manicure. It's interesting going back and looking at manicures from a few years ago. My nails are so different. The nail shape for one, but it also seems the part by the cuticle is a bit different as well. And of course my cuticles are in much better shape. I used to have so many hang-nails but now that I use cuticle oil regularly that has improved so much.

Today's theme is gradient. This is one of the first gradient manis I did and also an attempt at creating a scene using some of the smaller images from plates. I used a bunch of different designs from the Cheeky round plates to create this look.

I did a gradient with some color that I thought would look good as a sunset background. This was my first attempt and I think I did all right, but think I need to add in some darker colors next time. I then stamped using my Konad stamper and Funky Fingers Black Knight.

Reminiscent of Hawaii with China Glaze Electric Nights and Lite Brites

I've been feeling in a neon mood so I decided to try a gradient with some of the China Glaze neons from the Electric Nights and Lite Brites collection. I chose an orange and yellow from each for this design.

Using China Glaze Whip It Good, China Glaze Daisy Know My Name?, China Glaze None of Your Risky Business, and China Glaze Home Sweet House Music and the Beautometry Gradient Sponge set I created a base gradient for the stamping.

Then I stamped using Hit the Bottle Black and images from the MoYou London Tropical Collection plate 04 with the MoYou London Rectangular stamper.

I reversed the gradient for the accent nail. I just love this look! So bright :)

MoYou London Tropical 08: You Put the Lime in the Coconut ...

Feeling tropical today and wanted to do a gradient. So, what better than to pull out the MoYou London Tropical plates and play!

I started off using the new Beautometry Gradient Sponge set to create a gradient using Kleancolor Wave of Peppermint (which smells like peppermint when dry), Kleancolor Bikini Green, and Kleancolor Apple Candy (scented to smell like apple when dry).

I then used Hit the Bottle Black and the MoYou London Rectangular stamper to stamp images from MoYou London Tropical 08 onto my nails and topped it all off with my new favorite top coat: Seche Vive (doesn't smear the stamping!!).

The accent nail has the gradient in reverse compared to the other nails. I like the way this mani came together with the limes on the accent nail and the coconut leaves on the other ones. Very tropical indeed!

M is for Multi-colored: Holographic Sunset Beach Nails

Today for the A2Z Challenge, we have M is for multi-colored. I've always wanted to do the sunset beach nails so I decided to try it and make them holographic!

 

I started with a base of OPI Alpine Snow Matte and then put Glitter Gal Turbulence, a silver linear holographic, over all my nails. I just LOVE holographic polish!!

On order to create the gradient effect, I used OPI Big Hair ... Big Nails, OPI Y'all Come Back Ya Hear, and OPI Guy Meets Gal-veston. All three jelly polishes from the Texas Collection. I put them each down at a time and used the dry brush technique (where you get most of the polish off the brush except a little little bit and add to the nail to create the gradient).

Using Funky Fingers Black, I stamped the sun image from BM-01 and the palm tree image from B70 on my middle finger, put more palm trees on the other nails and for the accent ring finger, I used the full palm tree nail design from the Summerics Petla plate.

I really REALLY like how this one turned out! I may have to do a Youtube tutorial just so I can wear this look again! What do you think, would you like to see a tutorial?

B is for Bold

I decided to do a gradient manicure for the next letter in the A2Z challenge (details can be found here)

This is a very bold manicure for me because not only is it neon, a gradient, but it also has the dark purple going to neon as the gradient. I really like how it turned out, my second gradient mani :)
