GREAT deal for nail polish on Aveyou using KGBDeals!!

OK, found this out from the ladies over at MUA.
There is a site similar to groupon et al called kgbdeals. Click here for the Link

When you sign up, you get $5 credit to your account, type in the coupon code box when you make your first purchase the code KGBCABIN10 and you will get $10 towards your next purchase.
-Purchase the deal= $25
-Purchase a second one and put in the coupon code KGBSLICK10 and you will get another future $10 credit. The second one will be $25-$5 for joining-$10 from previous code= $10
That makes it $35 for $100 :) You can only use one per transaction though.

When you get to aveyou, there is a coupon code to get $15 off $75: SUMMER1575
This means that you should get your cart to $75, use coupon, then it will be $60, use $50GC from KGB and total will be $10!! Shipping will be $1.

So, if you do the deal twice like I outlined, it will be $35 to KGB for both $50GC + $11 +$11= $72 for $150

AWESOME! deal and I am planning on perhaps getting more for the release of the OPI Muppets Collection because the certificate does not expire until Dec!!

Swatch - Funky Fingers Curacao -Scented!! :)

This is part of the summer collection that recently hit stores. I was applying it and to my amazement it started to smell very nice! It smells sort of like a blue raspberry/blue cotton candy scent.

I really like this color, it is a nice bright blue and sort of a neon. Even though it has that neon quality to it, it dries shiny and not matte like most neons tend to do.

Review: L'Oreal Extra Volume Collagen Brown Black Mascara

l'Oreal Extra Volume Collagen Brown Black Mascara review. I can't find my camera charger, so I found this photo of the Mascara on Amazon, the other pics are mine.
I bought this from Walgreens a while ago and have been consistently using it. I am actually pretty well pleased with it's usage and how it works.

It has a nice large brush design, as you can see in the photo. The packaging is pretty too!

The picture on the left is my eye with no makeup (NAKED EYE!! lol). The one on the right is using the mascara to show the difference. You can tell immediately that the mascara makes my eyelashes darker and really does show more volume and adds length too, even though it isn't necessarily a lenghtening mascara.

The one that I bought is brown black, so it isn't going to be super black dark, but you can still see the dramatic results. I love wearing this mascara because it really makes my eyes pop and adds volume to my lashes. You can see how much fuller the lashes look in the second picture which is nice, almost gives a look of false eyelashes, even though I am wearing none.

As far as cons go, I have read other reviews that say this and I have to agree that at the tips of some of my lashes there will be a clump of mascara, albeit a tiny clump, but it's noticeable to me. I don't know what causes that, maybe the creaminess of the mascara or what, but it's a little annoying. I really like the creaminess, so maybe I just have to live with it!

Overall, I'd give this mascara a thumbs up because it really does add volume and a dramatic lash effect.

Emerald Eyes

These are 2 different, yet similar looks I created and continue to use because I really like the way the green turns out. I enjoy the way that I was able to actually use different colors and products to create a full look in the green color family.

The products I used are:

-I first put on LA Splash Eyeshadow Sealer/Base

-Then, I use the Bare Minerals Contour eyeshadow brush and put the bright green from the L'Oreal HIP duo Riotous on my lid to the crease line

-I then take the green from the Avon true color quad in lush blush quad and put it in the crease area

-Then using the dark green from the HIP duo, I put that in the corner of eyes about a third on the lid

-For the blending color, I use the green from the Avon quad candy sweets and then blend everything together to get a nice soft shift between colors

-Lastly, I put on the highlight for my brow area of cover girl eye enhancers, not sure what color it is though, has glitter in it

-For eyeliner, used either green or Mary Kate and Ashley lagoon eyeliner

-Mascara is L'Oreal brown

Poker Success!

This is what I put first, Icing's Kiss Me Red. I have had this nail polish for YEARS!! But it is still good. My inspiration was a poker night that we were having and since my last attempt was an utter failure, I decided to go for the classic red and black look.

I used Funky Fingers Dark Knight (my go-to-black lately) to stamp the poker images from B19 stamping plate. Since my nails are still too long for the whole nail patterns, I decided to use Dark Knight to do black tips and then finished it off with a silver glitter striper from Art Deco and Seche Vite as the top coat.

Overall, I REALLY like this one better. It is so classic and fits poker nicely due to the black and red suits of cards.

Poker Fail and Lilac Eyes

This is my first attempt at a design for poker night, utter failure! I tried though, at least. I painted my nails with a fing'rs orange in the cat bottle and then stamped over it in a dark brown with the poker background plate, BM19. I then put a shimmery orange over my thumb nail.

The reasons I think it turned out terribly?? Well, first off the brown color I stamped with wasn't very opaque at all. My nails were too long for the plate, and also too wide. The wide problem culminates in the total failure of my thumb. As one of my first Konading attempts, it isn't the worst thing ever, but for me it sucks.

Recently, I did another poker night manicure and will show that on here since I am actually proud of it,lol.

On the other side of the spectrum, here is a eye look I did with some nice muted purples. I call it a lilac look because it is just very springy and reminds me of lilacs! The close-up really shows how awesome the Almay

1-2-3 mascara is. :)
