This manicure is so dark in the photos and I waited a few days to take the photos of it (as evidenced by the tip wear...). I can also see the difference between this photo and how using nail oil has really helped around the cuticles. They look so dry here, but now they are so much better and healthier. (I've been using Bliss Kiss for about a year now).
I started with a base of Funky Fingers Ectoplasmic and then tried my hand at a few decals. I used Il Etait un Vernis Paint It Black, Konad Green, and Funky Fingers Gesso. I made decals for the bell and champagne glasses coloring them in with silver polish and red Sharpie markers.
Plates used are as follows:
-Dashica SdP 24 (Holly Berries)
-Dashica SdP 14 (Champagne Glasses, Bells)
(Since this is from last year I'm not sure which plate the large bell is from. One thing that I've learned is that I really need to write down what I'm using so when I post I can let everyone know. Also, I might want to recreate something or use an image again.)
What do you think? How have you grown in your nail art over the past year?
This mani is cute - my favorite nail is the bell! :)
ReplyDeleteI've definitely grown, but I think I've lacked pushing my comfort boundary and I need to do that this next year.
This is a cute design! I've got a lot of pictures I've never shared to, and I may have to follow your lead and just share them!
ReplyDeleteThis is so cute! Your mistletoe nail is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteThis is a cute Christmas mani, I didn't get the chance to do one this year
ReplyDeleteI'm really liking that green base you used!
ReplyDeleteVery cute! When it comes to nail art, I'm right handed and have two left hands.
ReplyDeleteSo festive! I like it :)
ReplyDeleteI like the bright green base! I'm so used to dark greens
ReplyDeleteLove this! Very Holiday! <3
ReplyDeleteLove it! Such a fun christmas manicure!
ReplyDeleteI really haven't gone into nail art, still - I keep saying I want to... I own plates and sponges and stampers and nail tapes but I end up just always picking a color and going with it instead of dolling it up. I really want to get into it but just haven't yet. I love this manicure though - it's everything Christmas and I love that.
ReplyDeleteFor my birthday this year, I dug out all my old birthday cupcake manis from years past. I feel like I've improved on some things but not others, and my nail art still looks pretty amateurish, even though I've been doing it for years. I just rock it anyway.
ReplyDeleteLove this mani! I did something similar for Christmas this year, although I only had one accent nail on each hand.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful manicure! I can see how much I've grown when I compare mye of even to last year. There's always room for improvement but I'm happy for the most part with nail art and photography!
