Q is for Quirky: Cupcake Watermarble

Today for the A2Z Challenge, we have Q is for Quirky. I had a quick inspiration for this and just went with it.

I started with a base of Wet n Wild Fast Dry Silvivor and created a water marble decal with that and Glitter Gal 10 to Midnight. These are holographic!!!
I then created a stamping decal with Cheeky Jumbo Plate 7 Home Sweet Home for the cupcake using Funky Finger Blacks Night then colored it in with OPI Pink Friday and L.A. Colors French White.

I really enjoyed this quirky look!! What do you think?

P is for Pale: Flourishes

Today for the A2Z Challenge, we have P is for Pale. I took it to mean a pale color base and something not as bright or busy as well.

I started with Kleancolor Frapuccino as a base on all nails and then used my Creative Shop Stamper set to stamp the flourish design from Cheeky Jumbo Plate 7 Home Sweet Home onto my nails with Kleancolor Metallic Mango.

This was a nice palate cleanser for me since my nails have been so bright and filled with designs lately. I also had a chance to use the Creative Shop stamper set again. I REALLY love how large this is. My nails are growing out and it will be such a pleasure to be able to get them in one stamp instead of trying to match up a double stamped design.

Do you have the new Creative Shop stamper +scraper set? What do you think of it?

M is for Multi-colored: Holographic Sunset Beach Nails

Today for the A2Z Challenge, we have M is for multi-colored. I've always wanted to do the sunset beach nails so I decided to try it and make them holographic!

I started with a base of OPI Alpine Snow Matte and then put Glitter Gal Turbulence, a silver linear holographic, over all my nails. I just LOVE holographic polish!!

On order to create the gradient effect, I used OPI Big Hair ... Big Nails, OPI Y'all Come Back Ya Hear, and OPI Guy Meets Gal-veston. All three jelly polishes from the Texas Collection. I put them each down at a time and used the dry brush technique (where you get most of the polish off the brush except a little little bit and add to the nail to create the gradient).

Using Funky Fingers Black, I stamped the sun image from BM-01 and the palm tree image from B70 on my middle finger, put more palm trees on the other nails and for the accent ring finger, I used the full palm tree nail design from the Summerics Petla plate.

I really REALLY like how this one turned out! I may have to do a Youtube tutorial just so I can wear this look again! What do you think, would you like to see a tutorial?

I is for Inspired

Today for the A2Z Challenge we have I is for Inspired. We had a VERY BRIEF snowfall today and it made me happy to finally see snow. So, this manicure is inspired by the beautiful moment of snow we had.

I started off with Sinful Colors Why Not, a very vibrant turquoise blue. Very beautiful and bright! I then put Kleancolor Chunky Holo Teal over it and Kleancolor Midnight Seduction over the ring finger nail.

Here's some close-up shots:

                                                                           Macro:

Using Emily de Molly plate EDM07, I stamped the trees on the thumb and ring finger.

Using Sugar Bubbles SB03, I isolated the ornaments and snowflakes to decorate the other nails.

In order to create the snowbanks and drifting snow on the thumb and ring finger I just used some of the scraped polish left on the plate. I picked it up with the stamper and just stamped it on the nail like any other type of image. I really like how that turned out. I added Fingerpaints Shower with Flowers over the two tree images to give it some green and snowy white glitter. Topped it with Seche Vite and there you go:

H is for Holographic: Cheetah Style

Today for the A2Z Challenge, we have H is for Holographic. I wanted to do something different so I went for cheetah print over a holographic base.

I started off with Glitter Gal Wysteria on all nails.

Then, I stamped the Cheetah print from Sugar Bubbles SB002 with Kleancolor Pastel Purple and topped with Seche Vite.

Isn't this a fun manicure?

C is for Copycat

Today for the A2Z challenge we have C is for Copycat. I decided to do a cat theme with the cat from BM04 repeated/copied on my nails. I also did the fish from that same plate in a repeated pattern.

I used a China Glaze red for the base and stamped everything with Konad White and then colored in the cats with Ulta Concrete Evidence and dotted in LA Color Addict in Hooked to give the grey some blue spots.

My thumb nail is curving weird, ugh. Hopefully it will improve as my nails continue growing :(

B is for Bold

I decided to do a gradient manicure for the next letter in the A2Z challenge (details can be found here)

This is a very bold manicure for me because not only is it neon, a gradient, but it also has the dark purple going to neon as the gradient. I really like how it turned out, my second gradient mani :)

A is for Angles

I've started a new nail art challenge to help me get back in practice. It's the NEW AtoZ challange aka A2Z hosted by Pocketmoneypolishes. Here's a post with the lowdown: Pocketmonkeypolishes

This challenge will span the alphabet and each week is a new letter. Up first is A and A is for angles. Here's my interpretation of that:

Cheeky European Romance Plate

All the details with what I used, how I did it and a complete YouTube tutorial will be in a separate post once I get it all edited :)
